About

Laura has been acting professionally for over 30 years but is best known for her role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” She is the author of 8 books (6 fiction, 2 nonfiction) and is currently working on a 2-book fiction series. Her award-winning documentary, “Wasted: Overtourism & the French Quarter” is currently touring the festival circuit.
Laura’s love for New Orleans is best expressed through parading with the renowned Pussyfooters, a group of over 100 women in pink corsets and white combat boots spreading joy at Mardi Gras and beyond. Her previous blog, LAtoNOLA, is a 15-year love letter to the city.
